Hello everyone and welcome to the December edition of the Philippine DX News. This report No.34 and I’m Henry Umadhay in Antique, Philippines. Glad to be back and thank you for tuning by.
Christmas is fast-approaching, with with all the festive sights and sounds all around. I would like to greet everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year. In Filipiino “Maligayang Pasko at Manigong Bagong taon sa inyong lahat.
In today’s program we have few items.
First, Journalists condemn Maguindanao Massacre.
Philippine and foreign media organizations condemned the massacre of at least 57 people, including journalists, In the November 23 political related incident in Maguindanao, Southern Philippines.
The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) challenged the government to take immediate action.
Philippines, the second highest number of journalists killed after Iraq.
In solidarity,the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas ( KBP) also expressed outrage and condemned the massacre.
Also the Philippine press institute (PPI) echoed the sentiments of other media groups and joined the call to urge the government to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Our regular contributor T.C.Patterson in San Remegio, Cebu here in Central Philippines sent the following report.T.C. did a bit of tuning around in the 25 meter band before local sunrise thismorning on November 3 between 2115 and 2200. Among others he was able to hear the following
11550 WEWN from Vandiver, AL in Spanish,11695 Radio Australia from Shepparton in English;11845 Radio Canada Int’l from Sackville in French;11910 Radio Japan (NHK) from Yamata in Japanese;11930 Radio Marti from Greenville, NC in Spanish;11945 Radio Free Asia relay via Tinian in Mandarin; and12075 Radio Free Asia relay via Tinian in Korean.
